Disciples Church values church planting (starting new churches from scratch) as one of the most effective ways of carrying out the mission of the church to go and make disciples of all nations.
But this is to be more than words and aspirations. We recognise that we need to put our money where our mouth is to make this happen.
Commitment
Disciples Church Springfield commits to allocating 10% of its total tithes & offerings income to church planting. This can include churches being planted here in Australia, or any country in the world. The decision as to where these funds are allocated will be made by the Elder Board.
Inclusive
This commitment of 10% is to be inclusive of funds paid to the Acts 29 Church Planting Network to cover administration, and the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches for yearly membership fees.
Separate Account
Disciples Church Springfield will operate a separate bank account where funds allocated for church planting can be accrued until they are dispersed to a church planting work.
