Patient Endurance

Let's face it, we rarely get persecuted for our faith. Maybe a snide comment from someone at work or a family member, but nothing like a public flogging to see if we will renounce our faith. For us, the issues that challenge our faith the most are life's circumstances and our relationships with others. More often than not, these are the things that can make us move away from Jesus rather than towards Him. This week we learn the futility of pulling away from our Saviour. God's Word is clear: there is no other alternative. We patiently endure life in a fallen world by following Jesus, trusting He knows what's best for us in all situations.
