Welcome to the Liturgy Team!
Although liturgy is somewhat of an old-fashioned term, it best describes the structure and content of what happens during a Sunday service.

The Team
The Liturgy Team has 4 main roles.
1. Prayer Leader - lead the congregation through prayer and the reading of scripture.
2. Ministry Host - lead the congregation through the ministry spot and announcements.
3. Communion Prep - prepare communion once a month.
4. Communion Leader - lead the congregation through communion once a month. This role is either a pastor or elder.

Prayer Leader Responsibilities
After the first set of songs, the Prayer Leader will lead the congregation through a prayer and Bible reading. Please arrive on time and communicate to the Worship Service Director well in advance if you are unable to make your service for some reason.

- Take time during the week to read through the passage given to you to read.
- Begin praying through the topics and scripture given to you, to stir your heart and affection before Sunday.
- Write out your prayer. Even if you are not going to pray word for word, writing out your prayer helps you to be strategic, it also prevents 'ums' and 'ahs', rambling and unnecessary repetition.
Before the Service on Sunday...
- Check in with Production on for which microphone to use.
During the Service...
- Lead the congregation in prayer and reading the Word aloud. Have a physical, paper Bible to read from. You can bring your own, or you can use the one on site.
How to Lead the Congregation in Prayer
Praying together is a vitally important component of our gathering. And so, leading this time is a great privilege and responsibility because you are praying on behalf of the whole congregation.

- Don't Use "I", Use "We"
- Don't Preach The Gospel. Pray The Gospel.
- Include Scripture
- Follow the ACTS structure
- A - Adoration
- C - Confession (in this context, corporate not personal)
- T - Thanksgiving
- S - Supplication (asking for stuff)
- Remember the global church beyond Springfield
Some other tips that might help with your delivery are;
- Prepare
- Write it down
- It's better to be on stage earlier than later
- Try not to go longer than 5 minutes
- Once you have finished, ask the congregation to be seated

7.30am - Communion Prep Team Sets Up Communion
8.20am - Prayer Leader Collects Microphone & Double Check Service Plan Details
8.30am - Band Rehearsal ends / Pre-Service Briefing & Prayer.
8.45am - Pre-Service Begins (Cinema 3 Opens)
9.00am - Service Starts.
9.15am - Prayer & Bible Reading.
9.30am - Communion (if it is the first Sunday of the month)
10.30am - Service ends. / Bump Out. Prayer Leader Returns Microphone. Communion Prep Pack Down Communion.
11.00am - Venue Closed
7.30am - Communion Prep Team Sets Up Communion
8.20am - Prayer Leader Collects Microphone & Double Check Service Plan Details
